Illustrated: Gertrude Bone, Days in Old Spain. Published in the portfolio, Two Drypoints by Muirhead Bone. The other drypoint in the folder is, Dancing on the Apostle's Day, Santiago. (not included here). Signed in pencil. $1,750. The Xacobeo, also known as Jacobean Year, Holy Year or Jubilee Year, is only celebrated when the festival of James the Apostle or Santiago (25th July) falls on a Sunday. This happens at varying intervals, usually every 5 or 6 years, but occasionally we have to wait up to 11 years to celebrate the next Holy Year.

A rich impression with velvety drypoint burr. Printed on smooth simili-Japan paper with full margins. Annotated by Bone 'XXIX A Spanish Good Friday (Ronda) (for Morris) in the lower margin. Signed in pencil by Bone. Housed in a 22 1/4 x 15 1/2-inch period gold leaf frame. $7,500.
A Spanish Good Friday (Ronda). 1925. Drypoint. Dodgson 412. One of only 20 numbered impressions printed from the cancelled plate in 1985. 12 1/2 x 8 1/8 (sheet 22 1/2 x 15). A rich impression, printed on heavy white wove paper, countermarked BFK RIVES FRANCE, with wide margins. Inscribed in pencil at extreme lower edge of sheet '8/20' and 'U[niversity]. of Bristol School of Art 1985'. Ex-collection William Pelletier. $500.

Printed on countermarked 'hand made' wove paper on the full sheet with deckle edges. A fine impression of this very rare lithograph. Signed and dated in pencil. $900.

A fine impression printed on cream wove paper. Pristine condition. This is a portrait of the artist's first wife, Anaïs. Provenance: the estate of Kathleen Nancy Woodward Brockhurst. Signed in pencil. $650. Another proof, not from the estate, on cream wove paper, stains from previous hinges in the four corners, the lower left-hand corner missing. Signed and dated in pencil. $550.

From the edition of 250 on petit papier vergĂ© Montval paper. Total Edition 310. Good condition apart from mat burn and 3 unobtrusive foxing spots in the lower left-hand margin. A rich impression with drypoint burr, printed on laid paper countermarked 'Vollard', on the full sheet with deckle edges on three sides. Annotated with the Baer number '203' in the lower left-hand margin. Signed 'Picasso' n pencil by the artist. Housed in a striking 28 1/2 x 23 1/2-inch modernist stepped gold leaf frame.
