William Gibbs McNeill Whistler )1846-1900) was two years younger than his brother. He studied medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, served i nthe Confederate Army, then moved to London to be near his family. He established a practice and became a surgeon. This image was drawn in Whistler's house in the Rue du Bac when Dr. Whistler came to Paris to confer with Beatrice Whistler's physicians in late 1894.
