A rich, atmospheric impression printed on cream wove paper with wide margins. Signed in pencil. The Headlights Over the Hill. is considered one of Short's finest original mezzotints. $1,500.
The automobile is traveling the road from Seaford to New Haven in Sussex. Seaford Head is in the distance and the sea is on the right. 1,500.> Hardie writes, page 41: "The flash of a car's headlights as it breasts the hill on the road leading from Seaford to Newhaven; in the distance, Seaford Head, and the sea on the right."
