"A column of heavy artillery, guns and reinforcements is entering a gorge (Wadi Ali) in the Judean plateau near Amwas, about 18 miles from Jerusalem, to support the infantry which had consolidated their position almost within sight of the Holy City. In the foreground is a 60-pounder gun, with camels beyond on the right." (Hardie 198).
