A rich, atmospheric impression printed on tan wove paper with wide margins. Signed in pencil. Housed in a 14 3/4 x 16-inch stepped gold leaf frame with black accents. The Headlights Over the Hill. is considered one of Short's finest original mezzotints. $2,250.
Hardie writes, page 41: "The flash of a car's headlights as it breasts the hill on the road leading from Seaford to Newhaven; in the distance, Seaford Head, and the sea on the right."
