Hardie writes, " From the water-colour drawing by Peter De Wint lent by the National Gallery to the Victoria and Alber Museum. A loaded hay-waggon and four horses in the centre; another empty waggon is being taken across from the right; to left, women at work with hay-rakes; distance of woodland, hills and cloudy sky.
