Hardie writes, "The Australian contingent of the Imperial Camel Corps, throwing up an encircling cloud of dust, pushes its way across the derert for the attack on Beersheba." The Battle of Beersheba marked the beginning the Southern Palestine Offensive of the Sinai and Palestine campaign of World War I.
