Miganoshita. Hakone. c. 1920. Watercolor on paper. 11 3/4 x 9 1/2. Signed "Hosen" lower left. Good color and condition. $450.
Hakone, a world famous tourist resort, lies 60km west of Yokohama and comprises a part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The greenery, mountain scenery, steaming hot springs and fresh air attract many visitors all year round.

Yuki no yougure - Snow at Dusk. c. 1900. Watercolor on Japanese paper with a chrysanthemum watermark. 37 1/2 x 25 1/4. Signed "E. Kato" lower right. The shop on the right sells cigarettes. An extremely large and dramatic image in fine condition. $2,000.

Commissioned for Cat, a portfolio containing lithographic reproductions of six pen & wash sketches: three by Le Ba Dang (Investigation, On the Scent, Vanity), one by Deshima (Posing) and two by Yeisha (Coquette, Slumber). The original portfolio is included with the drawing.
