British painter and printmaker Muriel Hare regularly exhibited at private galleries in London and Wales as well as at the Royal Academy, the Royal Academy of British Artists, the Society of Women Artists, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, and the Royal Hibernian Academy. Although relatively little is known about her background or her career after 1939, Hare was an accomplished painter with modernist tendencies.
