Baboulène loved port scenes. Conflans-Sainte-Honorine is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It is located in the north-western suburbs of Paris, 24.2 km from the center of Paris. The commune was originally named for the confluence of the Seine and Oise rivers. 1955, Baboulène won the Prix Esso, followed in 1957 by the Prix Biennale de Menton. In 1962, he had a large one-man exhibition in Paris which was very successful both critically and financially
