Illustrated: Fine Prints of the Year, 1932. A rich impression on subtle blue/green laid paper. Signed, dated, titled inscribed 'II' and annotated 'sp' and dedicated 'To Dicky from Johnny, 1957' in pencil. With the artist's stamp 'collection John Taylor Arms'. $7,500.
The formal name is the Palazzo Santa Sofia, on the Grand Canal, Venice. It is known as the golden house bceause of the gilt and polychrome external deorations that once adorned its walls.
