The painting has been cleaned and varnished at the studio of master conserver, Tom Yost. It is in excellent condition.

Provenance: This painting was purchased directly from the artist by a family that lived in the Philippines for 37 years, from 1929 to 1966. During World War II, five of the six members of this family were interred in Santo Tomas, a Japanese prison camp in Manila. Members of the family traveled extensively throughout the Philippines during their many years there and have a deep appreciation for the country and its people. They lived primarily in Pasay City, next to Manila, and had the opportunity to visit Mr. Amorsolo’s studio a number of times, where this portrait was commissioned and painted. The paintings accompanied the family back to New England and have been preserved in the intervening decades.

Boni MRT Station or called as Boni Avenue, is a station on the Manila MRT Blue Line (MRT-3), is named after the Boni family. It is the eighth station for trains headed to Taft Avenue and the sixth station for trains headed to North Avenue. It has several restaurants and shops that surround the station, including a public market located across the train station.

The book consists of 347 pages with over 500 images of paintings, sketches, and photographs. The dimensions are 10 in x 11.5 in (hardbound). The price is $200 postpaid in the U.S. and $225 abroad.
